Freelance Mandarin to English Translator. Specialism in IT/Technical/Telecomms.We have recently seen a large increase in volumes we receive for Mandarin to English translation projects. We are therefore looking for freelance translators who translate, post-edit and review documents from Mandarin to English who have at least 2 years’ full-time translation experience in the fields of telecomms, IT, technical translations.The work is carried out in Trados Studio so experience with this CAT tool is desirable, but not essential.We are interested in applicants who are keen to establish a regular and collaborative working relationship with us. RWS’s freelance translators have the unique opportunity to work closely with our in-house translators and benefit from their support and localisation experience.Main requirements:
Native speaker of the target language(s) and fluent in EnglishYou must be specialised in the telecoms, IT, technical areasExperience proofreading texts in these areas is preferred but not essentialA Bachelor’s degree in Translation or equivalentMinimum of 2 years experience performing translations for the telecoms, IT, Marketing industries.CAT & Office tools experienceA team player and enjoy working in an international environmentExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines
