Job Description:
– Promotion
1.Design, execute, and supervise the annual market promotion and trade facilitation, as well as investment promotion programs for the Agricultural Counsellor Office (ACO).
2.Organize and facilitate matchmaking sessions between importers and exporters targeting the agricultural and agro-food sector in the designated country.
3.Conduct promotional activities by participating in exhibitions, trade shows, and in-store promotions to generate consumer interest and promote Malaysian agro-food products.
4.Propose enhancements to the ACO market promotion strategies and programs.
5.Coordinate and regularly update the distribution of promotional material and information across social media platforms.
6.Oversee and manage trade inquiries from both importing and exporting companies.
7. Enhance the marketing plans for existing products and closely monitor competitor marketing strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Malaysian offerings.
– Market Analysis
8.Compile statistical reports on trade performance for the country under supervision.
9.Conduct research on potential markets (trade leads) for agricultural goods and agro-based industries within the country of responsibility.
10.Produce and analyze reports on agriculture and trade, including agricultural reports, product/service market studies, market alerts, media engagement, outreach programs, success stories, country briefings, Malaysian investments overseas, and export promotion initiatives.
11.Gather the comprehensive industry intelligence on agriculture and trade from diverse resources.
– Communication
12.Develop and maintain strong partnerships and business networks between the ACO and local authorities, agencies, business communities, and relevant associations.
13.Arrange and facilitate meetings with local authorities to strengthen bilateral ties.
14.Provide ad hoc oral translations during advisory sessions, meetings, and bilateral discussions as required.
– Data Management
15.Coordinate and ensure continuous collection of data and information on importers, exporters, distributors, and associated entities through the ACOMS system.
16.Maintain a comprehensive database containing marketing and trade data on agriculture and agro-food products within the country of jurisdiction.
– Other Responsibilities
17.Handle general administrative tasks when necessary.
18.Assist in coordinating and facilitating official visits and delegations from Malaysia.
19.Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time.
* Requirement skills:
1. Good in public relation, public speaking, marketing presentation and digital/online Marketing platforms;
2. Experience in organizing events such as promotion events, seminars, participating in the exhibitions, etc;
3. Good in writing skills ie market research, agriculture report, and activities report;
4. Be able to do translation English to Mandarin and vice versa;
5. Good in information technology (IT);
6. 3-5 years’ working experience is an advantage.
任职资格:
1. Bachelors Degree in Marketing/ Business/Agriculture or equivalent
2. Advance/Intermediate Proficiency in English and Chinese language (written and oral)
3. Intermediate/Basic Proficiency in Malay language is an advantage
